Agents who made the cut in 2021 have demonstrated consistent efforts to retain business – an especially impressive talent given the hardships that hampered much of the profession, thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, over the 2021 financial year.
Those named have successfully navigated challenges over the financial year to achieve individual success, while at the same time setting a new benchmark for consistency that others within the industry can see, and therefore aspire to.

Experience has shone through in 2021.
Interestingly, this year’s top dealmakers displayed higher levels of experience than they had previously. Across the top 50 dealmakers, the average years of experience on offer was up at 15, while the average top 10 agent boasted 17 years of experience. This is in comparison with 2020’s stats, which saw the average top 50 agent having spent 14 years in the industry, while the top 10 agents had been in the industry for just 13 years, on average.
AVERAGE TOTAL DEALS
There’s been an interesting spread of agents across Australia in the REB Dealmakers ranking for 2021 compared with years gone by. It was a State of Origin of sorts out in front, with New South Wales and Queensland both seeing 15 agents make the cut. Victoria, safely the state most affected by COVID-19 over the 12-month period, saw nine agents make the list, while Western Australia had a stronger showing than in 2020, with six representatives. South Australia stayed consistent year-on-year with four agents, and Tasmania with one.
It’s a very different snapshot than it was 12 months ago. In 2020, 21 of the top 50 hailed from NSW, followed by Victoria (13), Queensland (8), South Australia (4), the ACT (3), and Western Australia (1).
