At a time of supreme strength and growth in the Australian property market, the rankings aim to empower more agents to win more listings as well as achieve the recognition they deserve.
The listed agents are given industry-wide recognition for their achievements. With the rankings not only celebrating star performers across Australia, but also recognising their contribution to setting strong professional performance standards within the country.
Total value of sales
Analysis of the top 10 Australian agents reveals that they accounted for $5.44 billion worth of sales made from 1,783 transactions throughout 2021.
The Top 100 Agents Australia ranking homes in on agents operating across the country, while using the same metrics to generate REB’s Top 50 Women in Real Estate and Top 50 Agents state-based rankings.
Metrics used include the number of properties sold, the total dollar volume of properties sold and the average sale value. Each agent is ranked comparatively across these three metrics against their peers, with the combined comparative score used to determine the top-ranked Australian agents.
By re-visiting these rankings annually, valuable insight into the trends, opportunities and challenges that are affecting all of Australia’s property markets will come to light.
Through analysis of the data, we are able to uncover what it takes to become a top performing real estate agent. For example, a top 100 agent in Australia averages 38 years of experience and utilises, on average, 3 support staff. These agents brokered on average 126 sales throughout 2021.
Moreover, a top 10 agent in Australia tends to average 21 years of experience and employ the assistance of 3 support staff. Additionally, top 10 agents in Australia also achieved an average of 178 sales from 212 listings across 2021.
AVERAGE SALES PER AGENT
The 2022 rankings sheds light on how the Australia property market performed during a tough pandemic-impacted year.
The average sale price achieved by a top 100 Australian agent was $2,035,911, an approximately $400,000 increase on the previous year's mean price, with each property spending an average of 28 days on the market.
Additionally, the top 100 agents managed, on average, $255,618,859 in property sales throughout the 2021 calendar year.
Achieving an average sale price of $3,049,236 were Australia’s top 10 agents. This highlights a similar increase of approximately $800,000 on the previous year's average sale price, with each property spending 27 days on the average on the market.
Additionally, the top 10 agents managed, on average, $543,678,759 in property sales throughout the 2021 calendar year.
