Two Australian entrepreneurs have launched a new business that will allow tenants to have rental properties checked out before viewing.

The new pre-purchase 'Go To Guy' service aims to fight online property fraud, deception and rip offs, and offers tenants confidence and peace of mind.

Established by Queensland business partners Garry Harding and Greg Rawlinson, the new network is claimed to be the first service of its kind in Australia.

For a fee of $55, one of the network's 350 qualified and background-checked ‘Go To Guys’ across Australia can personally inspect and take pictures of houses and units, visit rental properties for landlords and tenants, and offer an unbiased first-hand report that tenants can then compare with the online descriptions.

"Online fraud and deception is growing as fast as e-commerce itself, but our Go To Guy can now save consumers time and money by verifying the existence, condition and seller's claims," said Mr Harding.

"In the real estate field, we can check on the property’s actual condition and see if those water views actually exist,” he added.
