Laing+Simmons is giving away $50,000 to 10 community heroes and is calling on local people to nominate someone they know that fits the bill.

Laing+Simmons has launched the Real Heroes campaign to acknowledge the “unreal efforts of real people” in our community.

Laing+Simmons operations manager and creator of the campaign Jackie Jones said that if you know a coach, carer, volunteer or just a regular Aussie battler that you believe deserves special recognition, Laing+Simmons wants to know.

“Members of the community have the chance to nominate someone as a Real Hero and put them in the running for one of 10 $5,000 donations,” Ms Jones said.

“Whether they are a family suffering from illness or loss, a local organisation that helps the less fortunate, or an individual who constantly makes sacrifices for others, you have the chance to make everyone aware of how special they are.”

Ms Jones said the idea is to create genuine connections with the communities of which Laing+Simmons is a part of.

“As a boutique network, it’s important for the Laing+Simmons offices and their team members in different suburban markets to create lasting ties with the local people they serve.

“The Real Heroes campaign is about supporting those in the community who need or deserve a helping hand.”

This is not the first time the niche network has involved itself in outreach programs.

Earlier in the year, a group of over 250 people attended its Springboard event, which was shaped to inspire higher levels of success.

At the time, Laing+Simmons managing director Leanne Pilkington said that the event was designed to encourage and empower team members.

“It’s very valuable for our team members to hear from those at the top of the industry, who have experienced a challenging market and who have overcome obstacles to build meaningful, successful and, ultimately, fulfilling careers in real estate,” she said.

“This is a fantastic event that gives people the tools and resources to help them on the road to success.”
