RightMove aims to enhance one ASX-listed outfit’s offering to independent real estate offices, and it’s already taking off in the west.

Following 18 months of beta testing of technology, process and system by Australian network The Agency, its new branding model RightMove has already attracted 11 new agents under the “RightMove” and “Powered By RightMove” banners.

Now, the company expects to roll the program out nationally within the next 12 months.

According to The Agency Group founder and executive director Paul Niardone, “the establishment of RightMove is all about servicing independent real estate offices with a better offering, alleviating cost burdens which eat into the bottom line”.

With the RightMove and Powered By RightMove, the two options available to agents and offices, Niardone said “many of our peers claim similar offerings but none deliver such an extensive list of services delivered by such a highly involved support team”.

Providing a comprehensive suite of services, including sales support, IT support, database management, property management, trust account management, industrial relations advisory and compliance management alongside other business functions, the founder said: “For example, we believe offering property management doesn’t end with an app – instead it should combine software with a team of people able to handle your inspections, manage your leads and so much more.”

The Agency reported RightMove is “the result of a conscious effort to liberate cost-centres for offices and alleviate interference from franchisors”.

Niardone said they see new opportunities with RightMove, stating “the numbers are compelling”.

He said the Real Estate Institute of Australia estimates the country has over 45,000 agencies – with 99 per cent considered small business operators.

“This combined pool of real estate offices manage billions in transactions each year – many of which have a genuine interest in streamlining administration and focusing only on listing and selling properties,” he concluded.
