Home buyers get mobile connection

Lenders are embracing mobile technology as a new way to connect directly with borrowers.

Yesterday, RAMS launched a new mobile website that lets users calculate what their indicative monthly home loan repayments would be via their mobile phone.

The website also includes a call-back option where users can request a call back from a RAMS customer service representative by entering their phone number.

“RAMS mobile website provides potential home buyers with useful information when they need it, regardless of where they are,” RAMS head of franchise Clive Kirkpatrick said.

“With 13RAMS.mobi, home buyers can work out how much their indicative mortgage repayments would be while at an inspection.”

“We toyed with the idea of developing an iPhone App but we believe a mobile website that is accessible from any internet enabled mobile phone is better suited to everyday Australians.”
