YONG Real Estate’s top ten agents boosted their commissions by more than $35,000 over the past 12 months, defying what has been a tough property market in some areas, the company has reported.

The group, which has grown from five offices in 2006 to 12 in 2012 located in Qld and NSW, announced its top performers at its recent awards night.

“Nine out of ten of the top individual award winners all improved on their previous year’s performance,” Rod White, YONG Real Estate’s chief operations officer and group trainer, said. “Even the person who did not have an overall improvement can be excused as he had an extended overseas holiday during the year.”

“In fact, the top ten averaged an increase in their commissions of slightly over $35,000 from the previous year.”

The company highlighted the performance of Maggie Diu from YONG Allawah in NSW, who collected up three national number one awards.

“She was the leading agent in Australia for sales commissions, the number of listings achieved and marketing dollars collected and spent,” Mr White said.

“Also deserving of special mention is [sales manager] Tina Edwards; Tina was the number one for Queensland and number two nationally.”

Mr White said while the market had been tough, the agents performing well were also the leading marketers of properties, “proving again that despite the dominance of the various forms of low-cost online marketing, the best results are still achieved from a strong all-round approach to marketing, utilising not only the internet but also the print media.”
