Harcourts Queensland has appointed industry veteran Jim Midgley as its new chief executive officer.
Mr Midgley, who was formerly the managing director with a major national franchise group, has spent 19 years working in all facets of real estate including sales, training, business ownership and senior management.
Harcourts said Mr Midgley will be responsible for driving internal growth through the development of Harcourts’ existing business by coaching and mentoring its business owners as well as recruiting new talent and offices within the state.
According to the Harcourts International website, Harcourts Qld has 72 offices.
Bryan Thomson, head of real estate operations for Harcourts Australasia, said he was thrilled to officially announce Mr Midgley’s appointment.
“Jim is a highly experienced real estate figure and has a fantastic reputation of success within the industry,” he said.
“I’m confident that Harcourts Queensland will continue to enjoy significant growth and development under Jim’s strong leadership.”
Mr Midgley, who was once a professional golfer, replaces former Harcourts Qld CEO, Aaron Brooks.
