Ray White’s first office, which opened in 1902, has now become a family affair as a father welcomes his son into the business venture.
Crows Nest, a historic village in Queensland’s Darling Downs, holds a special place in Ray White’s history as the birthplace of the renowned real estate business in 1902.
The original “shed” where Ray White first began trading still stands as a testament to the company’s legacy.
Geoff Trost, who has owned Ray White Rural Crows Nest for over 20 years, will now be joined by his son, Cody.
Cody’s arrival not only marks a generational transition, but also the continuation of a longstanding family legacy.
Cody, a finalist in the Queensland Young Auctioneers championship for five consecutive years, brings over eight years of experience as a livestock agent in Central West Queensland.
His career includes experience as a property valuer, further strengthening his knowledge of land and livestock transactions.
Ray White Rural Crows Nest said Cody’s expertise in livestock handling, auctioneering, and property valuation makes him an invaluable asset to the team.
Managing director of Ray White Rural, Matt White, said the team is proud that Cody has taken on a role in a business that encourages family tradition.
“His expertise and dedication to his craft will ensure that Ray White Rural Crows Nest remains a key player in the real estate market, both now and into the future,” White said.
The Crows Nest team said Cody’s involvement strengthens the Trost family’s connection to Ray White and reinforces the company’s significance in Queensland’s rural property and livestock sectors.
