Belle Property is cementing its Sydney footprint, having launched a new office in Double Bay.

With 60 years of industry experience between them, Peter Starr and Alain Waitsman will be at the helm of the new offering, which comes at an ideal time for the local market, according to the pair.

“The property market has a lot of distraction at the moment, but over the past six months, we have seen that real estate is still transacting in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, especially at the top end of town,” Mr Waitsman said.

He’s attributed this to low interest rates and people spending more time at home, meaning “there’s a burgeoning appetite for upsizing”.

“Travel is limited, so it means people are looking critically at their homes and assessing whether they provide everything they need,” the agent said.

It’s a time in which people “are crying out for certainty”, Mr Starr weighed in, noting Belle Property Double Bay’s premium offering, exceptional service and experience as setting them apart from their local competitors.

Having built their new venture on friendship, the duo said they were attracted to Belle Property for its premium marketing, boutique approach and international sales capability.

“Peter and I have known each other for a long time and we’re building our business on the same principles in which we conduct it — trust and mutual respect,” Mr Waitsman added.

It’s an alignment that Belle Property CEO Peter Handscomb has lauded.

“We are thrilled to welcome Peter and Alain to Belle Property as they are completely aligned with what our brand stands for and what it strives to achieve for its clients,” Mr Handscomb stated.

He considers Double Bay “an ideal location for our brand to add value”, with Belle Property’s growth strategy very much focused on “attracting the right people in the right locations”.
