A brand’s top-performing office in South Australia launches a new commercial offering by adding a specialist in the sector.

Ray White Norwood in Adelaide’s east has welcomed Matt Lazarus to the fold, who formerly held the position of head of retail sales and leasing at Belle Property Commercial Adelaide.

A specialist in the city’s CBD, Mr Lazarus will build the commercial property division at the high-performing office.

Mr Lazarus said he was excited to take advantage of the brand’s technology and marketing resources to expand the business’ offering at a great moment for growth in Adelaide.

“The nation’s median residential property price has risen for a 15th consecutive month; This has led to a compression of residential rental yields, resulting in an increased number of enquiries from interstate investors for commercial property in Adelaide,” Mr Lazarus said.

And he noted other factors were propelling interest in the city.

“One of the most exciting things for South Australia right now is all of the activity in the space industry. I have spent the early part of 2022 working closely with several industry clients, assisting them with their leasing requirements. With Adelaide being the home of the Australian Space Agency and Space Discovery Centre, this positions us to head up the industry in this country,” Mr Lazarus explained.

“The Australian Space Agency aims to triple the size of the sector to $12 billion and create 30,000 new jobs by 2030. I believe this will result in exciting new opportunities for commercial real estate in South Australia,” he added.

Matt Lindblom, chief executive of Ray White South Australia/Northern Territory, agreed that it was a perfect moment for the brand to be adding expertise like Mr Lazarus’ to their South Australian outfit.

“The past two years has really put Adelaide on the map, for both residential and commercial real estate. With Mr Lazarus expertise, as well as our national resources and reach, this is an exciting time for further growth of the Ray White group,” Mr Lindblom said.

Jason Spagnuolo, co-principal of Ray White Norwood, expressed his confidence in Mr Lazarus’ ability to make a seamless transition into the team.

It is essential to have the right people for success in real estate. Matt is a very well connected and a highly accomplished commercial agent, with a great reputation and understanding of commercial real estate. We are excited for the journey ahead,” Mr Spagnuolo said.
