The property valuation and planning player has revealed its launch of a new specialist advisory service.
Urbis’ Integrated Property Solutions (IPS) will reportedly “transform how property is managed in Australia” with its real estate advisory service.
Aiming to offer an efficient and tailored end-to-end service to clients, Urbis said IPS will mean clients “only need to liaise with a single operator”, with advisory services across asset and investment management, transaction advisory, and corporate real estate (CRE).
Urbis chief executive officer Benjamin Pollack considers the IPS offer “a natural extension of our Urbis service offering”.
From his perspective, it “will help clients that are seeking holistic solutions to increasingly complex city shaping problems”.
According to a statement from Urbis, the addition of IPS is a result of the merger between the business’ economics and property businesses earlier in 2023.
Urbis’ group director of economics & property, Marcus Conabere, said that the strategy behind the merger “was to unlock client and project synergies across the two groups noting their expertise and insights are intrinsically linked”.
“Having our economists and property experts working in tandem enhances the result for our people and clients,” he continued.
As part of the unveiling, Urbis has made significant appointments to its IPS leadership team.
Sara Pratt, the former chief operating officer at Colliers, will work alongside Mr Conabere to lead the merger and set the new group’s strategy and vision.
She’s joined by former JLL capital markets executive Roger Miller, who will lead the transaction advisory business — focusing on investment strategy, acquisitions, divestments, transaction due diligence, and general advisory work.
According to Ms Pratt, Urbis IPS provides a holistic solution for Australia’s property industry, calling it “a compelling offer” that provides “diverse, independent, and client-centric expertise”.
Mr Miller has also pointed to the Urbis brand’s independence as a drawcard, especially “when coupled with its scale, expertise, and collaborative focus”.
Mr Pollack highlighted that “securing candidates of the quality of Sara and Roger is testament to the IPS opportunity for Urbis and its clients”.
He concluded: “Merging our economics and property teams while launching a focused IPS offer enhances our value potential for our clients and furthers our strategy to leverage our broad multidisciplinary platform to elevate our advisory offer.”
