Two big players in the Northern Territory have joined forces to become one of the region’s largest commercial property managers.
LJ Hooker Commercial Darwin and North Commercial NT have strategically merged in an effort “to offer commercial property investors and vendors increased support, best practice insights and connections for their assets”.
Together, they’ll be known as LJ Hooker Commercial North NT, under the direction of long-standing specialists Lee and Ryan Doyle who will be the operating directors of the new entity.
LJ Hooker principal David Loy announced the expansion last week, stating that the joint expertise of both teams would benefit all landlords and vendors.
He espoused his own optimism about the future of the NT commercial property market, noting that the logistics sector is set to benefit from record road funding, while the retail sector will grow off the back of increased population as told by various tiers of government.
“We’re positioning our commercial property investors to take advantage of future opportunities through this expansion. North Commercial NT shares our commitment to exceptional service and being true trusted advisers for our clients,” he stated.
A statement from LJ Hooker announcing the merger described North Commercial NT as a family-owned, independent business which has built a strong reputation in the Darwin commercial property market in the last eight years.
They also highlighted the “strong track record in commercial sales and leasing transactions” held by the Doyles, and the pride they take in “the quality and relevance of the advice they offer to their clients”.
The parties have expressed that their “commitment to local business and supporting the Northern Territory will not change”.
“As a family business we are proud of what we have achieved, and we are sure this new structure will benefit our customers and clients.”
Lee Doyle also weighed in, commenting that “between myself, Ryan and David, we have a wealth of knowledge across the Darwin and wider NT markets, enabling us to offer strategies to clients that deliver premium outcomes”.
He believes that combining their on-the-ground connections and expertise with LJ Hooker Commercial will have the effect of strengthening their service and capabilities.
Congratulating the directors on the expansion, LJ Hooker general manager – network, Stephen Mutton, acknowledged the “strong foothold” that’s been held by the brand across Darwin and NT for a number of decades.
“With the addition of Lee and Ryan’s expertise, the group is excited to watch our presence in the Northern Territory flourish further, delivering a new benchmark in outcomes for sellers and investors, and strengthening collaborations around our national network,” he concluded.
