To lead its Victorian business, JLL has lured a former employee back to the fold.
Kate Pilgrim returns to the property services firm where she spent 17 years of her career after a little over two years away. She now steps into the role of managing director for Victoria at the firm.
JLL’s CEO of Australia and New Zealand, Daniel Kernaghan, remarked that Ms Pilgrim’s experience both with the firm as well as another industry giant placed her well to step into this new role.
“Kate brings to the role a wealth of knowledge and industry insight having spent 17 successful years at JLL before her most recent position as the head of customer and marketing at Charter Hall,” Mr Kernaghan said.
“This experience, her deep understanding of our business and her commitment to JLL’s growth give Kate a unique perspective on how we can continue to develop our teams and further enhance our services,” he added.
Having joined the company in 2004, she served as a director of corporate solutions and a senior director of tenant representation in her long first stint with JLL.
In addition to her longstanding ties with the company, she brings a strong educational background in the property industry to the role, holding a masters of business in property valuation, certificates three and four in property services, and is accredited as an agent’s representative through the Real Estate Institute of Australia. Additionally, she is also a member of the Property Council of Australia.
In this next phase, she’ll be focusing on supporting the firm’s operations across markets advisory, capital markets and work dynamics in a national leadership role. She will also serve as a co-head of tenant representation for Victoria.
Mr Kernaghan expressed his assurance that the firm has found the right talent to serve in this important position.
“Her knowledge and experience of the Melbourne market is highly sought after, particularly within the technology and creative sectors,” the CEO added.
On her part, Ms Pilgrim said she’s “truly honoured to return to JLL as the managing director for the Victorian business”.
Ms Pilgrim is most keen to have the opportunity to collaborate with the leadership team, “fostering our culture, and delivering tailored solutions to our valued investor and occupier clients”.
