An interest in sustainability and property has brought the leader back into the fold at the global commercial firm.
Susan Feltaous will be taking on the role of head of sustainability for property and asset management, Australia, at JLL.
With a personal interest in sustainability, Feltaous’ role will see her work with clients and teams to support sustainability targets, according to a statement from the firm.
It’s not the first time she’s worked within the real estate business, having first joined the company back in 2004 as national operations manager for the asset management services (AMS) portfolio.
She then became the operations director for JLL’s Colonial First State portfolio, where she managed more than 40 assets and led a team of 35 employees, before taking on the head of engineering and operations solutions – PAM Australia, where she remained until 2013.
Having worked across both London and Australia during her 26-year industry career, Feltaous began her property journey with a focus on fitout and construction, at companies including Multiplex and Bovis Lend Lease. Since her stints in various capacities at JLL, she co-founded a group of companies focused on early education, which saw her site sourcing, designing and building childcare centres, and managing business operations, all while leading a team of more than 70 education professionals.
Feltaous herself shared she is “thrilled to be rejoining JLL”.
“With increased regulation around sustainability disclosure, we want to continue to foster collaboration and deliver innovative sustainable strategies for our clients.”
For the firm’s head of property and asset management, Australia, Richard Fennell, the appointment of a new head of sustainability for property and asset management, Australia, allows the business to “take another step forward” in their commitment to sustainability objectives.
Expressing their delight at welcoming Feltaous back into the team, Fennell said: “Her extensive experience in the property industry, coupled with her passion for sustainability, makes her an excellent fit for this crucial position.”
“We have full confidence that Susan’s leadership and expertise will significantly contribute to our clients’ sustainability journey and help us achieve our collective sustainability goals,” he concluded.
