Knight Frank has bolstered its Queensland presence, adding a new location in the heart of the Sunshine Coast.

Maroochydore-based boutique agency Luxe Commercial will now be known as Knight Frank Sunshine Coast.

With the agency continuing to be helmed by managing director Chris Sales, Knight Frank stated the new location would cover an “expansive area”, inclusive of the central Sunshine Coast up north to Maryborough, west to Toowoomba, and south to Brisbane.

The network also detailed that their new Sunshine Coast office would continue to focus on the commercial property sector, with the agency offering “sales, leasing and asset management” services for “industrial, retail, office, medical and development sites”.

Knight Frank Queensland managing director, Dominic Long, relayed that the firm was “excited” about the new Sunshine Coast outpost, and the strengthening of the network’s existing seven Queensland offices.

“The Sunshine Coast has experienced huge growth in recent years, and there is more to come,” said Long.

“This created great opportunities in the commercial property market, which is seeing increased demand from occupiers and investors.”

In welcoming Sales and his team to the Knight Frank network, Long emphasised Sales’ reputation as a “very highly regarded” agent within the region who has “extensive networks both locally and nationally”.

“Chris is a very experienced and skilled operator, with more than 15 years’ experience in the industry, and having established his own commercial agency more than nine years ago.”

Sharing why the agency made the transition to Knight Frank, Sales echoed the sentiment that demand for commercial property services on the Sunshine Coast had strengthened, the managing director largely attributing this rise to the area’s “major infrastructure projects” underway.

By joining the global brand, Sales stated it would “enable the office to expand its services”.

“Our valued clients will benefit from Knight Frank’s wide network, with access to a greater number of buyers and tenants complementing the personalised service we provide,” said Sales.

“It will also provide both our clients and team with the access to more knowledge, expertise and support that comes from having offices all around Australia and internationally.”

With the backing of the new network, Sales said this support would “be beneficial in attracting and retaining the right talent to service our valued clients”.

“We’re excited to scale our already successful agency to the next level with a global brand that has strong coverage throughout the world as well as nationally,” he concluded.

This expansion follows the finalisation of Knight Frank and Bayleys joint acquisition of a controlling stake in McGrath, and the subsequent unveiling of the acquired network’s new board of directors.
