The commercial group is partnering with a western Melbourne-based industrial agency as its first foothold in Victoria.

Industry Property Group (IPG) has been revealed as aligning with X Commercial, following 12 years as an independent outfit.

IPG’s founder Andrew Macqueen, alongside business partners Stuart Macqueen and Cameron Hunter, see the new alliance as enabling a “reset” of the industrial agency landscape across Melbourne’s western suburbs as the area booms.

X Commercial has lauded IPG as a “market leader” – touting the firm’s attention to detail, boutique level of service, and long-term vision.

For Macqueen himself, “it is a pleasure to join Daniel O’Brien and X Commercial by rebranding our successful Industry Property Group”.

With X Commercial already touting agencies across Sydney, Macqueen explained it is their aim “to assist the growth of this franchise network across Victoria initially and then nationally”.

He commented: “Since meeting Daniel, it was clear we both share similar values and operate very well together. We both have loyal and longstanding clients, worked at major global firms, and then wanted to evolve and build something for ourselves.”

“This new, exciting, and fresh brand has a true modern and unique agency offering which is exactly what I want for my clients.”

As the first X Commercial Victoria office, Macqueen and his business partners are now the owners of Victoria’s master franchise – with the intention “to franchise this brand further”.

Seeing the X Commercial model as providing excellent value, he said: “It has a great team of talented agents and advisers within it, an excellent team culture, and very clear and capable leadership.

“Stuart, Cameron and I are excited about growing the X Commercial brand down here in Victoria as quickly and successfully as X Commercial has grown in Sydney.”

CEO of X Commercial, Daniel O’Brien, said the opportunity to partner with such “a well-respected industry professional, who has similar goals and ambitions, is incredible and a real validation of what we are building here”.

He quipped that welcoming “such a well-established and hugely successful partner fits perfectly with our strategic growth plans to have offices in Victoria, New South Wales, and eventually Queensland”.
