Knight Frank has welcomed another partner into the fold of its growing capital and strategic advisory team.
Adam Fairfax has joined Knight Frank as a partner institutional capital, where he will work alongside the firm’s head of capital and strategic advisory in ANZ, Michael Kwok.
Fairfax brings over 30 years of experience within commercial real estate, primarily within the real estate investment trust sector as an equity analyst and portfolio manager, and also in specialist sales involving equity and debt funding.
His most recent role was at JP Morgan Australian Equities, where he worked for the past 21 years.
In his new position, Fairfax will work with institutional real estate capital partners in Australia and overseas to attract investment in commercial real estate through Knight Frank and its partners.
Following his previous role around listed real estate, equities and the management of property securities funds, Fairfax said Knight Frank will allow him to return to his roots as a property valuer.
“I’m looking forward to having the opportunity to act as a trusted advisor to investors by applying skills gained in the fast-paced nature of equity markets with the long-term discipline of physical real estate investment,” Fairfax said.
Michael Kwok shared that he is “thrilled” to welcome Fairfax to the team and looks forward to working closely with him and the rest of Knight Frank’s capital markets teams.
He also highlighted Fairfax’s “strong core understanding of capital flows and the cost of money” would enhance Knight Frank’s ability to meet the needs of its clients and service lines.
“His experience will enable us to provide capital solutions to clients across our business both nationally and internationally,” Kwok said.
Knight Frank CEO James Patterson said the firm’s two recent appointments of Fairfax and Kwok would enhance the firm’s ability to meet client demand.
“With Adam’s appointment and Michael leading our capital and strategic advisory team, Knight Frank is extremely well placed to provide our clients with unmatched capital solutions,” Patterson said.
