Cushman & Wakefield has restructured its leadership team in Western Australia to reinforce its presence in the nation’s major office markets.
Cushman & Wakefield’s current joining manager directors, Digby Sutherland and Mark Clapham, will transition into leadership roles within the brand’s newly created Major Projects Office.
In the new Major Projects Office, Sutherland and Clapham will work to support Cushman and Wakefield’s clients in the planning, development, and pre-leasing of new office towers.
While the new team will initially focus on projects in the Perth market, the firm explained that the team will also operate nationally and assist clients across Australia’s major office markets.
The new roles represent a shift for Sutherland and Clapham, who have collaborated for 22 years across Sydney and Perth in their previous positions at CBRE and the asset management firm Brookfield.
Sutherland and Clapham also collaborated at their previous company, Sheffield Property, which successfully integrated into Cushman & Wakefield’s broader operations in 2025, increasing the firm’s Perth team to a total of 93 professionals.
As part of the new Major Projects Office, the pair said they would focus on helping clients to navigate the burgeoning Perth office market.
“The Perth office market is entering an exciting phase, and with strong tenant demand for prime-grade office spaces, we see significant opportunities for new developments and asset repositioning,” Sutherland and Clapham said.
CEO of Cushman & Wakefield ANZ, Noral Wild, shared that Sutherland and Clapham’s work in the new Major Projects Office would further bolster the firm’s footprint in Australia’s office markets.
“Mark and Digby’s contributions to our Perth business have been transformative, and their new roles in the Major Projects Office will allow them to further enhance Cushman & Wakefield’s capabilities on a national scale,” Wild said.
Following Sutherland and Clapham's transition into their new roles, Cushman & Wakefield has appointed Roly Egerton-Warburton as the new managing director for Western Australia.
Egerton-Warburton, who currently leads Cushman & Wakefield’s office leasing division in Western Australia, has been with the firm for 11 years and was originally part of Sheffield Property before its acquisition.
Egerton-Warburton said the growing Perth office market offers “significant opportunities” to leverage in his new role.
“Cushman & Wakefield has built a very strong presence in Perth, and I look forward to accelerating this growth for our clients and our team,” he said.
Wild highlighted that Egerton-Warburton’s expertise and leadership will be “instrumental” in driving the next stage of growth for the firm’s Perth business.
“His ability to execute complex transactions and foster key client relationships makes him the ideal candidate to lead our WA operations,” Wild concluded.
