Building on the successful Insight 2017 seminar, the EAC Insight 2018 roadshow is being held at 31 locations across NSW and has been designed to be beneficial to everyone within a real estate office.

EAC CEO David Crombie said that Insight 2018 is a one-day event at a convenient location, where “the industry comes to the agency”.

He said that at the event, industry experts will cover the latest emerging issues covering sales, property management, compliance, digital marketing and new technology.

Mr Crombie added that of particular importance will be addressing the PSBA Amendment (Property Industry Reform) Bill 2017, which passed through the legislative assembly in early February.

“The changes that will take place in the real estate industry from a legislative, compliance and business perspective will be some of the most significant in recent memory and will affect everyone that works within and with a real estate office,” the CEO said.

“There is an unprecedented level of change occurring in our industry at the moment with the upcoming legislative reforms, new players, threats from new models and pressure on fees and business costs.

“Agents aren’t going to go anywhere, but the mix is going to change and you will need to learn how to adapt. We want to help provide you with some of the answers.”

Mr Crombie said that the benefit of this year’s roadshow is that agents are able to “comfortably” gather in their own locality and gain access to the answers they need to grow their business or develop their careers.

“The event’s list of industry experts will look at emerging issues while enlightening agents about the amount of change taking place in the industry,” Mr Crombie said.

“The topics and information provided are essential knowledge for agencies that aspire to be at the forefront of their local marketplace.”

Mr Crombie also said that the 2018 event will be bigger and better than its 2017 predecessor.

“The feedback from the event last year was excellent,” the CEO said.

“As a result, we have pushed up the number of venues and will continue to improve on providing practical information and advice that attendees can apply in their roles and businesses.”
