Big plans for Melbourne boutique following ‘amazing’ 2017 success

Following its success in the REB Top 50 Offices ranking for 2017, Melbourne boutique real estate franchise network YPA Estate Agents is set to turn 2018 into its biggest year ever.

No less than three YPA offices finished in the top 30 places in the ranking.

General manager Sam Amore called it an “amazing” result, given the age of the network and “more significantly” the length of time each office has been in operation.

“These are not offices that have been in business for 10 or 15 years,” the GM added.

“The three offices mentioned have operated under current ownership for less than eight years and YPA as a network opened its first office just 11 years ago.”

In the ranking, YPA Werribee finished 10th; YPA Glenroy was 15th; and YPA Melton, which commenced operating under its current directorship only three years ago, finished 24th.

Mr Amore credits “extensive” training programs that focus on customer service as being instrumental in the “rapid development” of YPA offices.

He said that the niche network has ambitious plans for the year ahead.

“In 2018, YPA plans to increase brand awareness with a billboard advertising set for the freeways and the major arterials around Melbourne.

“The program commenced at the end of January, and feedback has been extremely positive both from clients and the public generally.

“In addition, staff get a real boost from seeing their brand in such a high-profile advertising medium, so it’s great for morale.”

Mr Amore also said that expansion of the network has already commenced.

“A new office will open in Bacchus Marsh in April and four further offices currently set to open in the first half of the year.”

He added that the YPA brand has a new look across its signage, sale boards and marketing products.

“These were launched at a major function at Essendon Airport,” Mr Amore said.

“The event was attended by more than 200 YPA members and guests. We are looking forward to a busy and rewarding year for our network as we build on the success of 2017.

“We have also acquired the services of Michael Sheargold, who will conduct a series of coaching and mentoring sessions during the year for our franchisee directors.”
