A new Raine & Horne business has been unveiled in Armidale, a move in line with increasing demand in the New England region.
Raine & Horne’s new Armidale business is led by local Nellie Hayes. Ms Hayes is also the principal of Raine & Horne Glen Innes, which she opened up in November 2018.
“There was a brilliant opportunity to extend into new territory with the brilliant Raine & Horne brand, and I am excited to expand into my hometown,” Ms Hayes said.
“We have an extremely focused and enthusiastic team assisting the expansion from Glen Innes, and we will soon be recruiting a dedicated team to operate in Armidale.”
Speaking of the New England region, Ms Hayes noted the vast opportunity available in Armidale.
“Properties priced between $300,000 and $400,000 are attracting a mix of first-time buyers and investors, with plenty of enquiries originating from contacts in our database or our Amplify campaigns,” she said.
“For example, we sold a neat and tidy four-bedroom brick house in Armidale for $345,000 to a first-time buyer. From that listing, we now have an extra 11 buyers in our database looking for properties under $400,000.
“Rural properties valued between $2 million and $30 million are also attracting buyer enquiries. We have a mix of buyers from family farmers to corporates seeking properties up to $30 million.”
Going forward, Ms Hayes described the long-term health of the Armidale property market as one being supported by a “diversified and stable economy that generates excellent employment opportunities”.
“Headed by the University of New England, we have a strong primary, secondary and tertiary education sector,” Ms Hayes said.
“Besides, we have a strong agricultural sector headed by the beef and sheep production, while the recent relocation of the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicine Authority (APVMA) has created hundreds of new jobs and is another tick for the Armidale economy and property market.”
