Two former Ray White agents have joined Harcourts Coastal Commercial as the team looks to capitalise on emerging opportunities amid the coronavirus pandemic and beyond.
Lachlan Marshall and Jared Johnson, formerly of Ray White Surfers Paradise, have taken to the top spot as the directors of Harcourt Coastal’s newly formed commercial division. The move sees the pair become equity partners in Harcourts Coastal Commercial.
“Jared and Lachlan have created a formidable business in their time in the industry and their new-age approach to the commercial sector made them exceptional candidates to partner with in the business,” managing director Dane Atherton said.
“Jared and Lachlan are aligned with our vision to create a leading commercial offering that harnesses the strength of our existing operation and brings a new level of energy and marketing to the commercial space.”
Speaking to REB, Mr Johnson said he’s keen to get cracking on a new strategy which will see him and his team bolster their presence within the Gold Coast market.
“Our strategy for the next six to 12 months is to continue what we have been doing with our residential style of marketing, incorporating our social media (Instagram: @commercialbycoastal) and continuing to list and sell premier Gold Coast commercial assets while growing an energetic and dynamic team,” he said.
“The current market here on the Gold Coast has significantly improved in recent times as a result of the record-low interest rates and a renewed confidence in the local area. We’re heavily marketing in NSW and Victoria to attract investors who typically are used to much tighter yields at home.”
Also commenting on his new post, Mr Marshall said the new business endeavour comes at an opportune time.
“Since day one, I have had strong ambitions to a be a business owner. The opportunity to start and grow a commercial business alongside Harcourts Coastal who sell $800 million dollars worth of residential property every year is incredibly exciting,” Mr Marshall said.
“Harcourts Coastal Commercial will look to change the face of commercial property on the Gold Coast, and I look forward to growing people within our team and helping them become top of their game!”
