A former finance professional has returned to the real estate game, opening a new agency in Queensland’s Springfield.

Melina MacNellie-Verrall has aligned with RE/MAX to form the agency, located west of Brisbane, named RE/MAX Property Professionals.

The agent comes to the Greater Springfield area after spending the past nine years working for a major bank in Brisbane as a branch manager and consultant.

She said the agency opening returns her to “the real estate passion she’s had since leaving high school”.

According to a statement announcing the office opening, Ms MacNellie-Verrall has previously worked across a number of independent and big brand real estate offices through the Scenic Rim and the Gold Coast.

A Spring Mountain resident herself, the newest RE/MAX principal reportedly chose to open her office in the area because of the market opportunities: “I know this area very well as both a professional and a resident. It is undoubtedly a growth area, and I’m opening RE/MAX Property Professionals to become the market’s number one agency of choice through Greater Springfield and surrounding suburbs.”

Ms MacNellie-Verrall is a longstanding member of the Greater Springfield community, and outlined how she wants her business “to be an integral part of this community – we will be engaging and connecting with it in many ways”.

The principal is already a member of the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce and is reported to be actively networking with small businesses in the area.

“We sponsor a Monday morning Pilates class held in the Westfield Community Hall, where the $5 entry is donated to charity,” she noted.

Commenting on Ms MacNellie-Verrall’s alignment with the network, RE/MAX Australia’s managing director, Joel Davoren, said the Greater Springfield office “is poised to assist buyers and sellers”.

“Melina has ambitious goals with the people skills, market know-how and business acumen to achieve them,” he stated.

“Her energy and drive is evidenced in the fact that just over three months ago she was welcoming her new baby boy into the world. Three months and two weeks on, she’s opening her real estate office!” he exclaimed.

According to the principal, her benchmarks for success “are headed by building relationships with clients and the experiences I give them while achieving the outcomes they want, and the level of engagement and involvement this community feels from the RE/MAX Property Professionals team”.
