A new multi-purpose space will form the heart of a brand-new real estate business on the Sunshine Coast.
YAMBA Realty Group is the brainchild of husband-and-wife team John and Janzey Pratt.
Ms Pratt explained: “As a Yuwibara woman, ‘YAMBA’ is a term we use to describe our ‘house’, ‘camp’ or ‘gathering place’, and for both John and I, it was important that we created an environment where everyone could feel comfortable, as if at home.”
She and her husband profess real estate as having been a passion of theirs for more than two decades, with their careers having seen them selling property Australia-wide.
YAMBA Realty Group was made possible after the pair relocated to Gympie from Caloundra, where they had owned and operated J & J Pratt Property Services Pty Ltd.
But the new operation sees the pair embarking on a mission to develop YAMBA Realty Group into more than just a real estate brand, with the agency set to operate on Gubbi Gubbi country.
They are reportedly encouraging their local community to utilise the YAMBA Realty space as somewhere to gather and meet, and have designed a number of initiatives in a bid to do so.
Both Mr and Mrs Pratt have expressed the desire for the brick-and-mortar office to provide “a warm, inviting and safe space, for friends, family and the community”.
The new Gympie agency is being powered by Eview Group, with the network lauding YAMBA Realty Group as its 11th office to open in Queensland.
According to Joel Hood, Eview Group’s Queensland director, it’s been “an absolute delight watching YAMBA Realty Group come to fruition”.
“Their unique, community-focused approach to elevating their established real estate service is an exciting and welcomed addition to the Gympie marketplace,” Mr Hood said.
“Both John and Janzey provide a precise combination of energy, strategy and an unmatched level of community awareness that will only benefit our growing network of agents.”
