In a bid to leverage on the continuous growth of the state’s regional markets, one of Australia’s largest networks has added a new regional general manager to its NSW ranks.
Building on a decade-long career in real estate, Mahan Shishineh has taken on the newly created position of regional GM for Ray White NSW, joining the team in early April.
In a statement from Ray White, Mr Shishineh said that he was attracted to the network because of its clear vision and mission as well as its understanding of the needs of regional areas.
“The level of care from Ray White is something that’s rare and well thought out,” he said.
He noted that in his previous role, which was heavily regional-based, he had “come to understand the cultural difference between regional and metro markets”.
“Their markets are very different and therefore these businesses need to be treated differently. Knowing this, I was able to grow the previous brand 120 per cent within the seven years, with the majority of the growth occurring in regional New South Wales,” the general manager continued.
Looking ahead, Mr Shishineh plans to contribute to the growth of the network by “putting people at the forefront — having the right people, right facilities and the right team nurturing them”.
In the new role, he aims to use a three-pillar approach to achieve success, leveraging on the COVID-induced shift in the market to capture the next wave of loyal clients.
“Firstly, I want to assist our existing offices with internal growth, especially in the areas of recruitment, budget and market share growth,” he outlined.
“Secondly, I plan to raise our standards with how we communicate with our offices and ensure that they feel confident that their general manager is there to assist them.
“And thirdly, to grow our network with the right leaders and not to grow for growth’s sake.”
According to him, “regional areas will continue to grow due to the ripple effects of COVID-19, [so] our focus needs to be on delivering exceptional client experience to ensure that we seal the next generation of home owners and buyers in our regional areas”.
Ray White New South Wales | Australian Capital Territory CEO Andrew McCulloch has expressed his support for Mr Shishineh, who bolsters Ray White’s corporate team to 15 members across New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory.
“With 215 offices spread right across New South Wales and Australian Capital Territory, it was important to me that we were still able to provide a high level of service to our network outside of Sydney,” the CEO said.
“Mahan’s role will be to focus on growing and servicing our regional network. With his extensive experience in both franchising and business ownership, I’m very confident in Mahan’s ability to make a positive impact on this part of the business.”
