A new south-west Melbourne agency is opening its doors, after its operators made the move across from an independent office.

LJ Hooker Alona North sees principal Tassie El-Hassan and director Wally Houli make a break from the team at Hunter French Real Estate to launch their own suite of real estate services across both residential and commercial.

Touting the Altona North area as offering a “desirable lifestyle” due to its proximity to the CBD, beaches and parklands, Mr El-Hassan said it’s “thriving”, thanks to affordability and new developments.

“The median house price in Altona North increased by 8 per cent over the last 12 months to $880,000, demonstrating the demand for real estate in this area,” he flagged.

“In fact, we’re seeing many young to middle-aged couples and families making the move as they seek out a more balanced lifestyle.”

Explaining the decision to align with LJ Hooker, Mr El-Hassan has praised the network for being “a strong, family-orientated brand that is well known and, importantly, trusted among consumers”.

Explaining that the brand would benefit their large local customer database, the principal said the team will have access to “innovative systems and an abundance of resources”.

Combined with local market knowledge and expertise, Mr El-Hassan said they’ll now be able to provide “even greater experiences and better service” to the community.

Weighing in on the new office launch, LJ Hooker network development manager Aaron Booth said the local community and surrounding suburbs “will be well served with the expertise and process-driven customer service that the team will provide”.

“It certainly is the mark of a real estate network when talented teams choose to open their own office with us,” Mr Booth stated, before concluding: “We’re thrilled to have Tassie, Wally and the team on board to represent the national brand in the growing area of south-west Melbourne.”
