A Victorian network has welcomed 10 new offices into the fold with the acquisition of another Melbourne-based real estate group.
Jellis Craig has revealed it’s joining forces with the Greg Hocking real estate group, with a statement outlining that “the joining of the two companies will see the combined group’s coverage extend to 37 strategic locations in metro Melbourne and Victoria’s premium lifestyle areas”.
Jellis Craig CEO Nick Dowling is “thrilled” at the alignment, calling Greg Hocking “one of most recognised and respected names in real estate”.
“Greg Hocking is an icon of the Melbourne real estate industry,” he said.
“Greg and his team have a rich and successful history in sales and property management and we welcome their wisdom and experience.”
For Jellis Craig, the acquisition is part of its “continued strategic expansion across Melbourne’s premium locations”, it was reported.
More than 80 staff members work across the 10 Greg Hocking-branded offices in metropolitan Melbourne.
For Mr Dowling, joining forces with Greg Hocking will complement Jellis Craig’s existing locations and further cement its dominant market position across key demographic areas.
“We have had our sights set on specific locations in inner Melbourne where we don’t currently operate for some time,” he said.
Greg Hocking has also expressed delight at the partnership, noting that the businesses’ combined 40 years of servicing the real estate needs of Melburnians would stand them in good stead.
He said: “Jellis Craig has long been considered an industry heavyweight.
“They are very well resourced and have an unwavering commitment to professionalism and innovation.”
