The Agency has welcomed a new family into its Queensland team.
Cathy and Madi Roche are the newest members of the network, and will operate out of The Agency’s Brisbane office.
Having been business partners for the past decade, the pair were prompted to move to The Agency by a desire to “widen their net”.
“We have strong foundations as a team and a strong skill set, but we want to grow and service more clients and build greater volume. Working with The Agency’s extensive network allows us to build on the migration coming into Brisbane from Sydney and Melbourne,” Madi commented.
She added that prior to COVID, they were seeing “a few fortunate people who work for big corporations like Telstra or the big banks coming into Brisbane to relocate easily”.
“With COVID, we are seeing that trend tenfold, because you can work from anywhere. Particularly people who were based overseas and are looking for a home base with a good lifestyle,” she said.
The pair, previously from Ray White, have achieved elite performer status and been the recipient of an Excellence in Auction award.
For Madi, key to their success has been open communication between the mother and daughter.
She said: “We’ve always had a strong dynamic working together. When it comes to working with family, it’s either going to work really well or very badly.
“Fortunately for us, it works really well as we can be very open with each other.”
Noting that Cathy had previously worked in the building industry alongside Madi’s father, she said the “family background in property and building has always been there”.
“Cathy and I both remain across everything, which means we are on the same page when it comes to every single client, whether it be buyer or seller,” she concluded.
The duo’s move to The Agency comes as the network reported record results for the 2021 financial year.
