The appointment of two new non-executive directors boosts the Victorian network’s board size from four to six.
Kate Spargo and Peter Nankivell are adding their expertise to the company’s board of directors, effective August 2021.
According to the agency group, the appointments “come after a period of record growth and exciting developments for the brand, further highlighting its ambitious future and strength in the real estate industry”.
Ms Spargo comes to Jellis Craig with numerous ASX-listed company directorship positions under her belt. Her two decades of board experience, across a variety of industries, has seen her work for CIMIN Group, Sonic Healthcare, Investec Bank and Adairs Ltd.
Mr Nankivell brings more than 30 years of experience in corporate advisory, finance and governance. Formerly the chair of partners at Herbert Geer Lawyers, he consults to Thomson Geer Lawyers and is a non-executive director at Supra Capital and RTN Law. According to Jellis Craig, Mr Nankivell’s real estate experience is extensive, having worked as an adviser to many groups around structuring, M&A and compliance.
Commenting on the addition of Ms Spargo and Mr Nankivell to the board, Jellis Craig CEO Nick Dowling said the appointments would “set the business in good stead for ongoing success”.
“We are delighted to welcome Kate and Peter into the Jellis Craig family at such an exciting time of growth,” he said.
“Their independent experience and diverse backgrounds outside of the real estate industry will challenge our thinking in the best possible way.”
