After a decade running Ray White Holland Park in Brisbane’s south, Piers Crawford is looking to not only extend his footprint but to nurture new industry talent and expand on the support he offers his team.

With the addition of an office in nearby Camp Hill, Mr Crawford has taken an innovative approach to increase the size and scope of his staff.

He has brought on board industry veteran Murray Smith, from Ray White’s New Zealand team, to help coach the growing outfit and to aid in the introduction of new technology like end-to-end sales, client management and the intelligence platform NutureCloud.

Appointing him as operations manager, Mr Crawford noted Mr Smith had already implemented a trainee and associates program to support the team and coach up-and-coming agents.

“Assembling a team of strong performers at Camp Hill who embrace a professional and sophisticated attitude combined with the strength of a trusted brand such as Ray White is key to our ongoing success,” Mr Crawford said.

“We have the experience of what it takes to support an agent through our tailored systems, who then goes on to double their business with us,” he added.

Mr Smith said he was looking forward to helping Mr Crawford’s team achieve their high goals.

“I help businesses grow and make people more productive. This is what I’ve done and what I’m good at,” Mr Smith said.

“We are looking to produce a team of good people because good people make good real estate agents.”

Mr Crawford intends the new office to build on the success he’s achieved in Holland Park, reporting that over the course of the last 10 years, he was able to triple the size of the business’s rent roll and obtain more than 25 per cent market share in the local area.

Describing his current roster of professionals as “humble and hungry”, the agent said he and his team were keen to continue on the current trajectory of growth.

“[This is] an opportunity to push into a new market in Coorparoo and Camp Hill. Camp Hill is a very large marketplace – double the size of Holland Park  so it dramatically increases our catchment and gets us even closer to the city,” he said.
