A Southern Highlands principal is growing Ray White’s presence in the area.
Gene Fairbanks, principal of Ray White’s Bowral office, has opened a new location in the nearby town of Berrima.
It’s a place Mr Fairbanks knows well, currently building a family home in the locality for his wife Jemima and four kids.
It’s no surprise, then, that the area’s appeal – particularly for families – is quick to roll off his tongue.
“We have so many beautiful properties here on bigger parcels of land. We’re seeing a lot of people moving here in the wake of COVID-19 in search of a more relaxed lifestyle but only 90 minutes from Sydney. The market has exploded here as more people want to get out of the big cities,” he said.
“When we opened our first office, Bowral five years ago, Jemima and I had two children and now we have four children with our three year old twins! We love the area and it’s the best place to raise our family for the lifestyle and opportunities here,” Mr Fairbanks added.
But the former professional rugby union player still tread carefully into the expansion, wanting to ensure his business retained the qualities that have contributed to its success so far.
“We’re growing our business organically and we really want to create a supportive environment for both our team members and our clients.
“In communities as tight-knit as Bowral and Berrima, we work hard to make sure every person who walks through our doors has a great experience – no matter who they are or what they need,” he said.
Mr Fairbanks noted that he felt Ray White was a good fit for their next steps.
“We’re a family business so we love being with a family-led brand. Through Ray White, we’ve been able to create a one-on-one experience for our clients with all the extra tools and resources that comes with a big brand like Ray White”.
Ray White NSW chief executive Andrew McCulloch said he was expecting big things from the Fairbanks and their team.
“This is just the beginning for Gene and Jemima’s expansion of the business and we look forward to seeing them grow and become the agency of choice across residential and rural real estate in the Southern Highlands.
“They are both well-known and respected members of the local community and we are so excited to support them as they grow their family business,” he said.
