In a bid to position itself strategically ahead of growth set to sweep the Cassowary Coast, the network has relocated its base in one of the region’s key markets.
The network shared that its Innisfail office, which was launched in early 2020 and remains under the leadership of Chloe Collins, will now be operating from the historic building located at 49 Fitzgerald Esplanade.
According to Ms Collins, the decision to relocate was prompted by the increased growth in the local real estate scene, with the network referring to the region’s current market condition as “prime time”.
“Real estate on the Cassowary Coast shows growth with many people moving into the area. Innisfail has many projects happening, with new businesses and existing businesses growing and expanding in the region, allowing for job growth opportunities, which is, in turn, boosting our real estate sector,” she explained.
Ms Collins said that aside from being ready for an anticipated boom in the region, the new outfit is also a testament to the network’s commitment to bolstering its presence in the region’s market.
“The new office is a great opportunity to show Innisfail that we are here to stay and committed to the region,” she stated.
Under the new location, the Innisfail team — which includes sales director and auctioneer Michael Skuse — will now be working in a spacious fit-out that is positioned in a riverfront location and referred to as “historically rich”.
To celebrate the office’s new home, the team launched an opening night on 1 November, which was attended by many of the area’s local businesses and contractors, as well as notable network figures, including Raine & Horne executive chairman Angus Raine.
Mr Raine highlighted that strong migration into the region, including some of Australia’s wealthiest entrepreneurs, will be the “boon” for the local economy and real estate.
He cited the recent $25 million purchase of 147-hectare Dunk Island located four kilometres from far north Queensland by the wife of Australian billionaire and co-founder of Atlassian, Mike Cannon-Brookes, Annie Cannon-Brookes, as one of the major examples of transactions that will fuel the Cassowary Coast’s economy.
“Chloe and Michael have expanded their presence at the perfect time as the region moves forward and is set to thrive following the pandemic.
“We are thrilled to support Chloe and Michael as our network in far north Queensland is extremely strong and interconnected,” he stated.
Speaking during the event, Cassowary Coast regional council mayor Cr Mark Nolan said it was exciting to welcome a new business into a “unique premise”.
“This building was originally constructed in the 1940s and was used as the waterfront workers’ hall and, more recently, a kindergarten but had sat vacant for several years before this redevelopment,” he stated.
Mr Nolan also shared that the Innisfail team worked closely with council officers to ensure that the redevelopment was up to standards.
