To meet the growing demand in Western Australia’s growing regional markets, the network has expanded its local presence in another regional hub.
LJ Hooker South West shared the opening of a new office in Busselton, led by principal Brent Spooner. The new outfit at 88 Queen Street marks the third office for the business since it opened its doors five years ago.
Mr Spooner said the expansion was an “exciting move” for the business, which has already established its presence in the regional hubs of Bunbury and Collie.
Looking back, Mr Spooner recalls that the business began with just the Bunbury location and a team of only three staff members. Since then, LJ Hooker South West has grown into a network of over 40 strong staff working under the group.
With the launch of the new office, the network is looking to increase its brand presence within Western Australia’s growing south-west region.
“This is a fabulous opportunity for us to diversify our geographic footprint and improve our service offering in the Busselton area,” he said.
The network noted the high demand for properties in Busselton, with the regional township recording a 16.4 per cent growth in sales during the past year to a median of $565,000. Rental growth has also increased to 17.8 per cent attracting a median rent of $630 per week, making the area popular for investors.
“By increasing our local presence, we will be able to attract new clients, improve convenience and streamline operations. In addition, it will give us a deeper understanding of the local market which is in high demand from both owner-occupiers and investors,” he said.
Mr Spooner emphasised that the opening of the new office represents not only an expansion of the business’s operations, but also shows its commitment to providing enhanced services to its clients.
He shared that the office, which features soft neutrals, timber detailing and chevron-patterned floors following renovation works, is also designed in line with the business’s goal of creating “a space that will be not just positive for the brand but also for our staff”.
“We are delighted with the design of the new office and thrilled to be able to offer a premium experience to our customers.
“Everyone had been counting down to moving into the new space and now we are in there, we can move forward as a team in this exciting chapter for our business.”
With the business having acquired a local rent-roll mid-last year, the business indicated its plans to expand its staff to cater to the growing demand in the area. Additionally, the new Busselton office will provide a range of services including residential and commercial sales, as well as a strong emphasis on property management.
LJ Hooker head of network Australia Stephen Mutton, who had a chance to tour the newly renovated premises ahead of its opening with chief executive Christine Mikhael, described the office as “modern and chic”.
“[It] is certainly a long way forward than most typical real estate businesses. It reflects Brent’s energy for his business and shows how the brand is evolving to meet the expectations of the modern day,” he commented.
Mr Mutton further highlighted that the business had built a workplace environment “where people will want to come together and work.”
“We want our businesses to change with the times and have the right mindset. This also includes adopting the right aesthetic look and creating an office space that is both vibrant and relaxed to foster innovation and collaboration,” he concluded.
