The newest outposts of the network are in the Melbourne inner north suburbs of Ascot Vale and North Melbourne.

A statement from Belle Property has revealed a merger with Alexkarbon Real Estate, in what has been called a “great meeting of minds and good people” by Belle Property Melbourne and Belle Property Carlton principal Scott McElroy, who is behind the partnership with Alex Puglia and Charles Bongiovanni.

“Alexkarbon will rebrand its offices to Belle Property Ascot Vale and Belle Property North Melbourne,” it was revealed.

Belle Property chief executive officer Peter Hanscomb said they were “delighted to welcome Alex Puglia, Charles Bongiovanni, and the entire Alexkarbon real estate team to Belle Property”.

He lauded Mr Puglia and Mr Bongiovanni for having built “a very successful offering in Melbourne’s inner north with Alexkarbon real estate over the last 10 years and come on board with a strong rent roll of over 700 residential properties, a large team of sales agents, and a solid pipeline of listings”.

Speaking of the alignment, Mr McElroy added that “Alex and Charles have a very strong business in the area and expanding into Ascot Vale is a natural fit and strategic move due to the trends we are seeing from customers moving both inwards and outwards along this inner north corridor of Melbourne”.

“Having a Belle Property North Melbourne office will give us better coverage of the area and it also complements our existing foothold with Belle Property Carlton as well as our presence at Belle Property Albert Park and Belle Property South Melbourne.”

For Mr Puglia, the move to Belle Property was due to its “strong presence” in the local market, indicating that the branding “is well suited to the Ascot Vale area and it aligns well to the style of the properties in suburbs including Moonee Ponds and Essendon”.

“There is also a lot of crossover with North Melbourne, Carlton, Albert Park, and South Melbourne which makes working with Scott and the resources that Belle Property provides so appealing,” he further added.

According to Mr Bongiovanni, the current business’ strong local connection will be bolstered by “being part of a brand with a national offering”.

“With Belle Property, we can service clients right across Melbourne whilst having the support of a national brand. We already have clients buying in Melbourne’s inner north who live in other states, now we can refer them to other Belle Property offices and that is really exciting.”

Under the new business structure, Mr McElroy, Mr Bongiovanni, and Mr Puglia will be partnering as leaders of both offices in conjunction with Alexkarbon’s Andy Lusi from Alexkarbon for Belle Property Ascot Vale and Sam Fenna from Belle Property Carlton for Belle Property North Melbourne.
