A longstanding local real estate agent on the Sunshine Coast has aligned her business with the national network to further its growth ambitions.
Jodi Price has rebranded her office to service the Mooloolaba and Mountain Creek markets under the LJ Hooker banner, after operating previously under Ray White.
With nearly two decades of real estate experience, including eight years specialising in development sales, Ms Price brings a strong acumen to the new venture.
Operating under the national network would underpin the business’s future growth ambitions, according to Ms Price.
Having previously operated under Ray White, the business leader acknowledged the advantages that come with being part of a national brand, especially in terms of marketing and support.
With LJ Hooker’s technology and marketing tools, Ms Price expressed her confidence that her team can provide a highly modern real estate experience driven by data and digital efficiencies, along with insider insights from her team.
The launch of LJ Hooker Mooloolaba | Mountain Creek comes following a period of significant and dynamic growth for the local real estate market.
Data from CoreLogic showed Mooloolaba’s housing prices have surged by 7.6 per cent in the past 12 months, reaching a median price of $1.375 million.
Similarly, unit prices in Mooloolaba have risen by 14.6 per cent in the last year, with a median value now at $700,000, showing a remarkable uplift of 67.6 per cent since 2020.
“Mooloolaba has been one of the real beneficiaries of the pandemic and people prioritising lifestyle above everything else,” she said.
Since the pandemic began, the market has seen an impressive increase of 60.1 per cent.
“Its foreshore, shopping and dining amenities have made its apartment and waterfront lifestyles amongst the most sought after on the Sunshine Coast,” Ms Price added.
In Mountain Creek, the median house price has also witnessed substantial growth, rising by 10.7 per cent to reach $980,000 in the last 12 months, and a notable 63.3 per cent increase since 2020.
Unit prices in the area now stand at an average price of $603,500, reflecting an 11.8 per cent gain over the past year and an impressive 63.1 per cent increase over the last three years.
“Mountain Creek is a great mixture of owner families who appreciate a lifestyle that offers beaches and national park on either side of the community, and investors who want properties close to Sunshine Coast University’s campus.”
Adding to the market’s strong prospects is its low vacancy rate, which is currently at 1 per cent.
Ms Price noted house rents in Mountain Creek are averaging $720 per week – a 40 per cent increase over the last two years.
LJ Hooker general manager of network, Stephen Mutton, lauded Mrs Price and her team’s addition to the brand’s roster in the coastal region.
“We’re very excited to have Jodi, her team and the insights and connections she’s built up over almost two decades in real estate as part of the LJ Hooker network on the Sunshine Coast,” said Mr Mutton.
He noted the alignment signifies the brand’s return to markets it had previously served.
“LJ Hooker has previously serviced the Mooloolaba market, and sellers and landlords in the suburb, along with neighbouring Mountain Creek, will appreciate the return of the brand, led by Jodi and her on-the-ground expertise.”
