The acquisition marks the latest development in Raine & Horne’s southern Queensland expansion.

Raine & Horne Springwood has recently announced its merger with independent real estate firm Local Realty Group, with the latter’s owner Peter Mitchell set to stay on board.

Raine & Horne Springwood principal Wilson Allu has expressed optimism about Mr Mitchell’s alignment, commenting that the team is “thrilled that Peter has agreed to stay with us and continue the growth of the Raine & Horne brand in this region”.

“Our goal is to provide a one-stop shop for both sales and property management services to the local community. The addition of experienced staff from Local Realty Group allows us to continue delivering high-quality service to our clients while benefiting from the growth opportunities in Springwood,” he stated.

The newly merged Raine & Horne Springwood has enlisted seven property managers and sales agents from Local Realty Group for the expanded operation. Mr Allu stressed that the appointment of experienced staff members is essential to the merger’s success.

“Extensive hours of diligent research and business valuation were conducted,” Mr Allu emphasised. “We have facilitated a comprehensive plan for integrating the operations of both businesses, including the onboarding of new staff.”

Raine & Horne Springwood’s merger marks the latest development in the growth of the Springwood market, according to the network. Located 21 kilometres from Brisbane’s city centre, the local council has reportedly tipped the area to become Logan’s central business district.

The agency stated that in recent years, Springwood has benefitted from increasing interest from Queensland investors. Strategically located between Brisbane and the ever-booming Gold Coast, Springwood has a plethora of amenities to offer. This winning combination of location, facilities and future development schemes makes Springwood, Mr Allu believes, “an attractive area for both buyers and investors”.

The newly merged Raine & Horne Springwood will service the areas of Springwood, Russell Island, Brisbane, Logan and surrounding suburbs in the region.

The Springwood merger follows a series of expansions across the Tasman, with offices in New Zealand’s Northland, Bay of Plenty and Hauraki regions.

It’s full steam ahead for Raine & Horne as it celebrates 140 years of operation, with the group expecting a further 20 offices to open in Australia and New Zealand by the end of the year.
