The brand lifted the lid on the combination of factors that has powered its recent growth.

LJ Hooker has recently expanded its network with the addition of eight new offices across Australia in recent months.

The network puts the achievement down to several factors, including key appointments in its leadership team, an expanded education offering, and its commitment to staying nimble in an ever-changing marketplace.

Stephen Mutton, general manager of network at LJ Hooker, shared his thoughts on the network’s recent expansion, attributing much of the achievement to the many skilled team members who contributed to the brand’s strong position.

“We are thrilled to welcome eight new offices to the LJ Hooker network. This growth is a clear indication of the value and strength of our offering to offices across Australia,” Mutton stated.

He further elaborated on the company’s strategic approach, noting: “The LJ Hooker network’s strength lies in its ability to adapt and grow in a rapidly evolving industry. Our focus on recruiting top talent, investing in training and development, and ensuring our network is supported by an experienced and knowledgeable corporate team has paved the way for our continued success.”

A key factor in LJ Hooker’s recent success has been the bolstering of its corporate team. The promotion of Christopher Keating to head of network Australia, along with three strategic appointments to the network performance team in NSW and Queensland, has significantly enhanced the brand’s capacity to provide support and resources to its offices, according to the brand.

“Christopher has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership and a deep commitment to our values. His vision and expertise will undoubtedly propel the LJ Hooker network forward nationwide,” Mutton remarked.

He added: “With a revamped corporate team, we are well-positioned for sustained growth and innovation, empowering our offices to not only thrive but also excel in their respective markets.”

Training and development were also characterised as cornerstones of LJ Hooker’s strategy, driving significant engagement within the network. The brand’s flagship event, Momentum, which focuses on connections and advanced skills, saw a 36 per cent increase in attendance year-on-year. Nearly 1,500 attendees participated in role-specific breakout sessions and forward-thinking discussions during its latest iteration in February.

In addition to Momentum, LJ Hooker introduced the Elite Engaged conference, an exclusive event designed for high-performing business owners within the network. The conference, which focuses on business growth, productivity and profit, received a strong turnout and an impressive net promoter score of 81, a rating reportedly considered “world-class” by Qualtrics.

Noting that the brand had decided to make Elite Engaged an annual feature, Mutton said that the events highlighted for the corporate team the importance of connection and culture in fostering a strong position in the market.

“We created the Elite Engaged conference to give our high-performing business owners the opportunity to connect with corporate and industry leaders as well as each other.”

“The conference emphasised the importance of creating a leadership premium, fostering the ideal culture, and recruiting based on attitude not just figures,” Mutton commented.
