The brand is eyeing ambitious growth, hoping to open in 18 new markets.
Place Estate Agents has welcomed Charlotte Agace to the new role of growth partner, to focus on attracting and retaining professionals for the brand.
Agace will work under Place veteran Amy Wolter, head of people and human resources, who has been with the firm for more than two decades.
Armed with a degree in business management majoring in HR, Agace is something of a people specialist, having got her start in real estate working as a buyers’ concierge before moving into sales. Formerly of Sotheby’s, she takes up this position at a pivotal time for Place, as the firm looks to substantially expand its footprint.
As Wolter explained, Place plans to open into 18 new markets across the greater Brisbane area, including Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan, Moreton Bay and Redlands regions, over the next eight years.
To do so, the network realised it needed to add specialist roles at the corporate level.
“We have audacious goals, and to achieve them, we require a strong, dedicated and experienced team,” Wolter said.
CEO Damian Hackett added that the firm was dedicated to “responsible” growth, thus dedicating resources to managing what will be a period defined by transition.
According to Agace, this growth potential factored highly among the reasons she was attracted to the role, alongside the company’s marketing offering and leadership style.
“The company’s commitment to high-quality marketing and its strong sense of community were key factors in my decision. I wanted to be part of a company where culture is paramount, and Place offers that and more with its community feel and exceptional events,” she said.
Agace will be highlighting these points to potential new Place associates, in a role where she compares her function to that of a “talent scout”.
“My overall goal is to help grow the Place family with talented and enthusiastic salespeople. My focus is on facilitating smooth transitions and supporting the growth of our offices, showcasing the significant contributions our teams make,” she said.
Noting her commitment to ensuring that the brand “grows responsibly with the right people”, Agace noted that she’ll be working alongside more than 60 personnel at Place HQ who ensure not only that the transition to Place is smooth for agents, but that they are supported in all their agency needs – “including recruitment, HR, marketing, finance, legal, and technology”.
