Starting with six agents, this rapidly expanding Brisbane business now has a full dozen sales specialists working under its banner.
Aurora Property Brisbane, which is part of the Aurora Group, has doubled its sales team, added new support staff and tripled the size of its office space to accommodate its expanded business in just three months alone.
According to the firm’s partner and director of sales in Queensland, Charles Higgins, the growth was organic, with agents drawn to the brand’s decision to protect each professional’s area of operation.
“Aurora backs its agents in their key focus areas and that’s been one of the leading reasons for our growth – avoiding intra-brand overlap in inner-city markets,” he said.
The property brand, which includes an affiliated property management business, Aurora Realty, and a Sydney network with offices in Neutral Bay, Cammeray and Epping, offers a unique model for agents looking to operate with more independence, yet a level of support.
“We’re an independent agency offering competitive commissions without franchise fees and an exclusive advantage for agents to grow their own rent roll without upfront risk or ongoing cost. It’s a unique opportunity for agents to build a saleable asset – a business within a business,” Higgins explained.
Reportedly, the business now has more than 11,000 rentals under management across Queensland and NSW.
Higgins described the Brisbane expansion as ongoing, with the firm initially concentrating on the inner-city suburbs, where many markets experienced high digit growth over the last 12 months.
To facilitate this area of focus, the Bulimba office is now complemented by outposts in Clayfield and Newstead, serving some of the city’s most sought-after suburbs.
Ensuring that the agency’s new joiners as well as the pre-existing team are able to grow in their own right, Higgins noted that Aurora will be rolling out a “high-level training calendar with the industry’s best coaches” over the next year.
“Our Brisbane sales division is in its formative period, but we’re ensuring agents take advantage of the depth of our business and wider group so they can grow with freedom,” he said.
