Industry-owned portal realestateVIEW.com.au has developed a new website that will make it easier for house hunters to connect with agents.

The redesigned website aims to offer buyers a better user experience through less clutter and more simplicity.

One of the website’s features is the ability for buyers to reach agents through only one click.

Other features include an enhanced photo gallery with larger, more responsive images, as well as more advanced search options and the integration of local data into search results.

A realestateVIEW spokesperson told REB that the redesign started nine or 10 months ago.

“The last iteration of the redesign was a $400,000 investment. This redesign is merely one part of the realstateVIEW.com.au product roadmap, enabling the brand to increase market share in a competitive market,” the spokesperson said.

Caine Real Estate chief executive Jacob Caine, an agent who uses the portal, said the redesign is a big step forward for realestateVIEW.

“Aside from the increased spotlight it gives agencies, we’re really impressed with how much easier it is for customers to connect with agents, and we’re looking forward to seeing the positive impact this will have on our business,” he said.

The portal’s executive director, Enzo Raimondo, said technology and innovation have been at the centre of the development of the real estate industry.

“Over 60 per cent of our customers told us they require detailed online information to help make more informed decisions. People come to us to find their home and our focus is to make the experience as easy as possible,” he said.

The upgraded website follows the release of an iPad app and iPhone app last year.
