REA Group has developed a new function for realestate.com.au that will make it easier for vendors to find agents.
A new search engine will allow vendors to search for an agent based on location, property type and price range.
For example, vendors could search for agents who have sold houses in Parramatta valued at $800,000.
If vendors didn’t specify a property type and price range, their search would return a list of agents with sales of any kind in Parramatta in the past 12 months, in order of sales volume.
The Agent Search function, which will be live by the end of the month, will also link to the agent’s Agent Profile page.
According to research by realestate.com.au, 81 per cent of users would research an agent online, while the main thing they would want from an agent would be experience in selling comparable properties.
Executive general manager of residential Andrew Rechtman said Agent Search will make it easier for vendors to find and connect with agents via their profile.
“By providing all sold information, including price, an agent can ensure they are most accurately represented in Agent Search. They can also update their profile to highlight their experience, expertise and personality,” he said.
