LJ Hooker is about to launch nine new offices, bringing its total to 559 sites throughout Australia.
Four of those offices will be in Brisbane – Banyo, Graceville/Chelmer, Paddington and South Brisbane.
There will also be openings in the Canberra suburb of Woden, the Sydney suburb of Canterbury and the NSW town of Mittagong. Two commercial offices will also open in Sydney.
The launches are scheduled for 1 February.
LJ Hooker said that 51 new offices joined the network in 2015 – and that it expected even more openings in 2016 given the level of enquiry it had received.
Head of real estate Christopher Mourd said the introduction of the new offices is part of the group’s ongoing growth plan.
“LJ Hooker has always been selective in our growth strategy. As such, we’re confident that the new markets we’re entering are positioned for strong, long-term activity,” he said.
Mr Mourd said LJ Hooker’s growth plans would focus on Queensland this year.
“There is a lot of opportunity for expansion for us in Queensland. It is a natural step for LJ Hooker to strengthen our presence in the area, especially with the market strengthening off the back of low-interest rates, infrastructure improvements and affordability,” he said.
