National real estate network LJ Hooker has revealed growth plans after announcing a key appointment.

Paul Nissirios, who joined the group as operations manager just 18 months ago, will move to the role of national franchise development manager.

Mr Nissirios has more than 17 years of real estate and business experience, spending time with a number of major brands, including Ray White, as well as owning his own real estate office for many years.

LJ Hooker head of real estate, Christopher Mourd, said the revitalised department, under the leadership of Mr Nissirios, will be the ideal team to lead the network’s ambitious growth plans.

“Paul’s business know-how and real estate knowledge and experience on the ‘other side’ means he is the right person to effectively engage with potential new franchise owners,” Mr Mourd said.

“He has a clear understanding of the opportunities and [he] understands the challenges facing new office, and knows the key to opening a productive and profitable business.”

Mr Nissirios takes up the role during a significant growth period, with LJ Hooker announcing plans to improve on the network's expansion experienced in 2015.

“We saw significant expansion in 2015 with 51 new offices joining the network,” Mr Nissirios said.

“We’ve experienced a great number of enquiries already this year [and] we expect to surpass that number considerably.”

LJ Hooker opened nine new offices this month, including four in Queensland, four in NSW and one in the ACT.
