A real estate group with plans to double its footprint is rapidly building a presence in “one of Australia’s fastest growing markets”.

Harcourts NSW chief executive Mark Morrison told REB the group has opened two offices in the ACT this year – one in Kingston and the other in Gungahlin – with many more to come.

“ACT is one of the fastest-growing markets in Australia, the nation’s capital is family friendly, the areas are well-planned and boast large lots and open spaces,” Mr Morrison said.

“The ACT is a great place to raise a family with fantastic schools and parks and also showcases some of Australia’s best museums and cultural venues and of course great sporting events,” he said.

“People from the ACT are always looking for new and fresh ideas and that is why they are attracted to Harcourts with the marketing and systems.”

Mr Morrison said the group has managed to attract “some of the best agents in the ACT”. In addition to its two offices in the territory, Harcourts has an application pending for Belconnen and expect to have another four locations open in the ACT by the end of the year.

“The growth of the ACT fits in with the growth of Harcourts, with our new branding and award-winning technology we are very excited about our future in the Canberra,” Mr Morrison said.
