A growing franchise has revealed its 2015 sales growth and claimed an enviable share of the Victorian real estate market.

At Barry Plant’s annual Kick Start conference last month, CEO Mike McCarthy opened the event by pointing to the group’s successes over the past 12 months.

“Kick Start underlines our ongoing commitment to professional development and education across the Barry Plant Group,” Mr McCarthy said.

“It’s a great opportunity for our group to celebrate what has been a record year, with overall sales up 22 per cent in 2015,” he said.

“The Barry Plant Group now claims 13.2 per cent market share in Melbourne, and 10.7 per cent across Victoria. They have sold 11,657 properties at a total value of $6.646 billion, and managed 29,179 properties.”

The Annual Kick Start Conference, held in February each year, is one of 87 training and development opportunities Barry Plant offers its members throughout the year.

Now in its eleventh consecutive year, the event saw over 450 delegates gather from across the 80-office network, which has recently entered the South Australian market and revealed major growth plans for Adelaide.

The event included presentations from Hugh van Cuylenburg, founder of The Resilience project, who offered tips on practicing to improve both efficiency and mental health.

Spiro Drossos, one of the Barry Plant’s leading agents and director of the group’s Doncaster East office, shared his tips on building client rapport to improve customer experience.

One of Australasia’s top business coaches, Peter Gilchrist, spoke of the importance of having the right people in the right roles to maximise efficiency.
