Leading digital advertising company REA Group has signed on as an official premier partner of the Sydney Swans.
The new partnership will see realestate.com.au create its very own purpose-built space at the Sydney Cricket Ground, designed to connect with AFL fans and provide corporate hospitality opportunities.
The deal will include exclusive branding rights on the video scoreboard at the SCG and a new hospitality space that will be built from scratch.
Tracey Fellows, chief executive officer of REA Group, the parent company of realestate.com.au, said the new partnership was a natural fit.
“Sport and property are two of Australia’s biggest obsessions, there’s a natural connection between us and the Sydney Swans,” Ms Fellows said.
“The partnership allows us to connect with our customers and people watching a sport they love.
“It’s also exciting that we will get a little slice of real estate at the Sydney Cricket Ground and we look forward to welcoming our valued customers into the purpose-built space to take in the action.”
Sydney Swans CEO and managing director Andrew Ireland said the team was excited to have the property platform on board.
“Season 2016 marks the year that we return to our spiritual home, so it’s only fitting to welcome a new partner who is helping Australians find their new homes,” Mr Ireland said.
“Realestate.com.au is a leader in the property market and will enjoy prime position on the scoreboard at the SCG, as well as a purpose-built hospitality suite – effectively a home within our home.
“We’re delighted to have realestate.com.au on board and look forward to working with them into the future.”
Earlier this month, realestate.com.au announced a partnership with hipages.com.au, allowing both websites to integrate their product offerings.
In February, realestate.com.au launched “Australia’s biggest auction campaign: Raise More Hands” with real estate giant Ray White and News Corp.
