A four-week auction campaign by a major real estate group has seen 12 offices sell over $23 million in real estate.

The LJ Hooker offices on Sydney’s northern beaches banded together in a huge auction campaign that culminated in an impressive $23 million in property sales.

The event drew in 1,000 buyers to 232 open homes conducted by the offices in Freshwater, Narrabeen, Palm Beach, Dee Why, Avalon, Newport, Collaroy, Manly, Seaforth, Balgowlah, Mona Vale and Frenchs Forest.

Over 150 people flocked to the northern beaches ADvantage Auction last Wednesday night at Col Crawford BMW in Brookvale to bid on the coastal homes, with a clearance rate of 70.3 per cent.

LJ Hooker NSW state manager Ben Mitchell said that the event “shows an auction campaign is the quickest and most efficient way to sell real estate in the current market”.

The evening also saw the auction of a donated piece of Quorra jewellery which sold for $1,500.

The proceeds of the sale went to the Bear Cottage, NSW’s only children’s hospice that offers palliative care for children with life-limiting conditions.

“The Bear Cottage do amazing work for sick children and their families and we feel privileged to be able to help in a small way to raise funds for such a worthy cause,” Mr Mitchell said.

On the night a $10,000 Flight Centre travel voucher went to the vendor of a property in Palm Beach, Westfield gift vouchers valued at $5,000 and $3,000 were given out and a vendor won a free home health check along with $10,000 cash.

“ADvantage Auction nights offer a rare opportunity for the best property in a particular area to be showcased, drawing crowds of like-minded buyers,” Mr Mitchell said.

“The night was a tremendous success.”
