A South Australia-based agent has used an engaging promotional video to sell a four-bedroom house for $720,000 above the suburb average.
Sally Goode, of Smallacombe Real Estate, recently sold the unique sandstone villa in Belair for $1,275,000.
She told REB the property was meticulously renovated with “beautiful heritage stone and restored magnificent grounds”.
Ms Goode and her agency catered to curiosity of the local community by creating a video for the property.
The video included a walk-through of the house accompanied by voiceovers by Ms Goode’s colleague, David Smallacombe.
“There were a lot of people aware of the house and hadn’t ever seen the interior,” Ms Goode explained.
“The video opens with David standing in front of the property in the grounds which are magnificent grounds, just talking generally about the history of the house, because it is quite a well-known property.
“[There was] a lot of curiosity as to what it’s like because it’s been tightly held through its history and hasn’t had very many owners.”
The video proved to be a success, attracting hundreds of views and generating significant interest.
“We had hundreds of people through it,” Ms Goode said.
Seventy people showed up on auction day, with the property selling for a record price.
