One of Victoria’s leading real estate groups has today announced the appointment of a new chief executive.
Simon Jovanovic will become the new CEO of hockingstuart from 23 May 2016. He has held a number of senior roles in highly competitive industries including energy, telecommunications and financial services, and has extensive experience leading sales teams in complex markets.
Mr Jovanovic said he was excited about joining the leading real estate brand.
“For over 30 years hockingstuart has led the property industry with a track record of delivering innovative products and services,” he said.
“I look forward to joining the team and continuing to grow the network to ensure hockingstuart remains the most successful real estate brand in Victoria.”
Over the last 12 months, hockingstuart has rolled out an industry-first diversification strategy, broadening its service offering and growing market share. Late last year, the company recorded its biggest year to date in 30 years of operation as a result of its strong customer service and diverse product offering.
Hockingstuart won the Best Training & Education category at last year’s Real Estate Business Awards, largely as a result of a six-figure annual investment it makes in mystery shopping its agents.
Hockingstuart chairman James Atkins said the board had undertaken an extensive search to appoint Mr Jovanovic as CEO.
“We’re confident Simon has the vision, values and experience to lead hockingstuart into the next phase, and look forward to working closely with him,” he said.
The news comes after the network’s former CEO Nigel O’Neil announced his resignation earlier this year after almost a decade in the top job.
